What an absolutely magical night we had at our 2025 Hopewell Township Christmas Tree Lighting on December 3rd, 2025!

Santa made his big entrance in true Hopewell fashion – riding in on a shining fire truck, sirens blowing, and waving like the holiday celebrity he is. The excitement on the kids’ faces (and plenty of adults!) was priceless and set the perfect tone for the night.

Our Hopewell Crest School Choir led by Mrs. Megan Mahan stole the show with their beautiful holiday songs. The crowd was even treated to a beautiful solo by Mrs. Mahan. Their voices filled the chilly December air with warmth, joy, and all the festive spirit we could ever ask for. They truly brought the magic of the season to life.

The handcrafted ornaments made by Hopewell Crest students and the seniors of the West Cumberland Senior Center added the perfect personal touch to our dazzling tree. Each ornament was unique, creative, and filled with the heart of the community. And of course, our wonderful township staff kept everyone cozy with cups of hot chocolate and trays of delicious cookies – because nothing says “holiday cheer” like warm cocoa on a cold night!

A highlight of the evening was watching this year’s 1st place calendar winner, seventh grader Julianna Richards proudly take the stage to light up the Christmas Tree.

Nights like this remind us why Hopewell Township is such a special place. The enthusiasm, laughter, and sense of togetherness could be felt all around. Whether you helped decorate, volunteered, or simply came to enjoy the glow – we thank YOU for making this night unforgettable.

From our Hopewell family to yours, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and cheers to more magical community moments ahead!
