PUBLIC NOTICE OF PENDING ORDINANCE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that notice is hereby given that Ordinance #2025-04 entitled Ordinance Authorizing the Sale of Certain Lands Not Needed for Public Use, Pursuant to the Hopewell Township Business Park Redevelopment Plan was introduced and passed on first reading at a regular meeting of the Township Committee of Hopewell Township held on August 14, 2025, and was inadvertently overlooked from the September 11, 2025, Township Committee meeting for adoption. The said ordinance will now be considered for final passage and adoption at the regular meeting of the Hopewell Township Committee after public discussion at the regular meeting held on November 13, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at the Hopewell Township Municipal Building located at **590 Shiloh Pike, Bridgeton, NJ 08302**. A copy of the Ordinance can be obtained without cost by any member of the general public at the Clerk’s Office, 590 Shiloh Pike, Bridgeton, NJ 08302 between the hours of **8:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.**

The full text of Ordinance #2025-04 entitled AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWNSHIP OF HOPEWELL, CUMBERLAND COUNTY, AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN LANDS NOT NEEDED FOR PUBLIC USE, PURSUANT TO THE HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP BUSINESS PARK REDEVELOPMENT PLAN is as follows:
WHEREAS, the Township of Hopewell is the owner of certain undeveloped real estate comprising 3.38± acres in the Hopewell Township Business Park, commonly known as Lot 1.03 of Block 63 (“the property”) Hopewell Township, Cumberland County, New Jersey; and
WHEREAS by its Resolution RA # 2025-03, the Township Committee determined that the property was no longer needed for public use; and
WHEREAS the Township is a party to a Redevelopment Agreement with Dutchway Structures Urban Renewal, LLC (“Dutchway”), executed on October 30, 2023, concerning the property; and
WHEREAS the Township and Dutchway are also parties to a Contract of Sale of Real Property, also executed on October 30, 2023; and
WHEREAS the Redeveloper has thus far obtained all required approvals from the Hopewell Township Land Use Board, Hopewell Township Committee, and Hopewell Township Redevelopment Authority; and
WHEREAS the Township and Dutchway are now prepared to close on the sale of the above-described real estate sale.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Township Committee of the Township of Hopewell, Cumberland County, State of New Jersey, as follows:
- The Township Committee hereby reiterates its prior declaration that the lands set forth above are no longer needed for public use and should be sold in accordance with the applicable statutes of the State of New Jersey, and the Redevelopment Plan for the Hopewell Township Business Park.
- The Solicitor is hereby directed to draft all necessary conveyancing documents and to attend closing on the sale to the Redeveloper.
- The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized to execute all said conveyancing documents to effectuate the sale of the property to Dutchway Structures Urban Renewal, LLC for the price of **Sixty-Seven Thousand Dollars ($67,000.00)**.
- This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption by the Township Committee.
